Why are we the family protector’s expert online training resource?  Because we “get it”.  The majority of us are tight on time and tight on money, and if you’re like I am, you still need an excellent training resource (one that you can use in your own home and elsewhere) to help you better protect your family.

It seems that violent threats come in many forms these days.  A family protector faces everything from cyber threats, brazen meth-heads to deranged active shooters.  While addressing the threats to your family’s safety might seem overwhelming and scary, it doesn’t have to be.  And that’s why we’re here, to help folks prepare and address threats to their safety with our expert broad-spectrum self-defense online classroom.

More about the website in a moment, but first I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself, so you can get to know where I’m coming from.

Hi, I’m the “Family Man”, but my real name is Chris.  I would like to thank you for taking time out of your busy life to stop by and take a look at our website.

I’m a husband & dad to the best people in the world.  I work a 50+ hours a week at a normal job.  When I’m not working I’m with my family of course.  They truly are the sweetest people in the world.  And I’m so lucky that I get to be a dad & husband.  I would do anything for them; especially protect them from danger and violent people.

I’ve always felt a strong sense to protect those I love.  I’ve spent the last 12 years in pursuit of skills that would make me the best possible family protector I could be.  I’ve had the honor and privilege of training with some pretty hardcore security professionals and owe any success in that area of expertise to them.  I was also blessed to become an adjunct instructor for my mentor’s company which teaches broad concept security skills at a tactical small unit level.   I’ve learned a lot about protecting loved ones from violent people and devoted many hours to the craft, (and I still feel like it’s my first day sometimes)!  Luckily most of my formative training occurred before I had children.  Between traveling, attending training courses, teaching and study, I’m not sure I would have been able to do all that if I had children at the time.

Even though I was extremely lucky to benefit from the experience and service of my friends and mentor, I still have the same concerns about protecting my family that most folks do.  I work really hard, I’m tight on extra time and money, but I still have a strong desire to keep my family safe in what seems to be an ever increasingly dangerous world.  I know that it’s my job to keep my family safe so they can live fulfilling lives.  I’m sure you and many others have the same concerns about protecting your family.  But much of the top tier security training for “mom & pop” is not really accessible.  Quite honestly, most family men and women are over-worked and under-paid and don’t have the time or money to attend a $1000 top-tier shooting course, 3 year combatives program, TC3 first-aid course, intelligence best practices security seminar, basic level executive protection class, on top of paying for a personal trainer.  It’s just not going to happen.  Why aren’t there more legitimate training resources available for family protectors?  Sure there are tons of informational videos on the net about how something is done.  Almost none of it shows folks how to train though.

So naturally, I saw a need for family protectors out there, both men and women – for accessible and affordable self-defense training; training that needed to cover more than just hand to hand combatives.  That’s where the familyprotector.com comes in.   With The Family Protector Blog, I wanted to provide free information and motivation to help keep their loved ones safe.  So enjoy the blog, it’s yours to read freely.

With The Family Protector – Virtual Training Center, I wanted to offer in-depth instruction in a broad-spectrum protective skills training curriculum that was not only efficient and effective, but AFFORDABLE.   Did I say that already?  That’s right, I wanted above all else for the Virtual Training Center to provide affordable AND accessible expert instruction for good folks who want to provide the better protect their family than they ever thought possible.  And I’m meeting that need right now on our blog, and again when the Virtual Training Center launches shortly.

“What’s your Family Protector – Virtual Training Center all about”?

In our Virtual Training Center our goal is get you over the learning curve of achieving broad-spectrum protective skills and become functionally proficient at protecting your family so you and you benefit now, instead of 3 years.  (But we also show you how to train efficiently to keep your skills sharp for years to come).  We’ll show you how to protect your family to avoid violence, stop it if it does occur and plan ahead so you are always a step ahead of danger.  We’ll cover the training required to lead in bad situations, fight to stop a threat, apply first-aid, plan for disaster, keep yourself in good shape even if your schedule sucks and the list goes on.

Simply put, I’m putting out the type of Virtual Training Center that I wish I had, if I hadn’t been so lucky to have the training mentors and time available that I did.  We have put together videos, references and lesson modules to show you how to train with your friends and family in the comfort of your home, at your gym, in your backyard, on your property and at your range to better protect your loved ones, despite a busy lifestyle and tight budget.  In order to do that, we have to show you how to train to get better at protecting those awesome people of yours, (not just tell you in theory how it’s done).   Stay tuned for more information about The Family Protector Virtual Training Center as we get closer to launching.

Again, I want to thank you for sticking with me if you’ve read this far 🙂

Now you know a little bit about me.  I’m a real person, with a real desire to help folks that wish to keep their family safe.  I’ve talked to enough family protectors over the years and know that there’s a need for accessible training beyond the level of a concealed pistol course, or a Thursday night combatives class.
